THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME "THE BARNABAS BRIDGE"
In the book of Acts, the Bible introduces us to the apostle Joseph, who is given the nickname Barnabas, meaning the Son of Encouragement (Acts 4:36). He is described as a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith, and that many people were brought to the Lord through his ministry (Acts 11:24). As Christians, we are called to be encouragers and exhort one another. In the Bible, crossing a bridge symbolizes growth and faith, representing the pathway of faith that leads to the source of all encouragement, Jesus Christ.

MEET THE COUNSELOR
Angie holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and undergraduate degrees in Psychology and in Recreational Leadership, with an emphasis in Recreational Therapy. She has spent 21 years on church staff as a Biblical Counselor. She is a licensed professional counselor and an independent mental health practitioner. Angie also has certifications in Biblical Counseling, Conflict Mediation, Grief and Loss, as well as Coaching Specializations. Over the years, she has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education under the guidance of some of the world's leading pastors, teachers, and Christian psychologists.

Angie is a Christian counselor who is licensed as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Professional Counselor. She is dedicated to strengthening your faith walk and will support you as an experienced counselor and coach. Angie has extensive expertise in working with individuals, couples, and groups, and she holds multiple coaching certifications.
Individual Counseling - $60 / hour
Couple Counseling - $80 / hour
GRIEF & LOSS CARE
At Barnabas Bridge, Angie is a Certified Grief and Loss Coach who has extensive experience walking alongside those in the grief process.
She helps you navigate through this season by extending compassion, care and encouragement through group opportunities as well as individual counseling.
M’CHEYNE READING PLAN
Join The Barnabas Bridge in reading through the Bible in a year with the M'Cheyne Reading Plan. The 19th Century Scottish minister, Robert Murray M’Cheyne prepared a plan for Bible reading to take readers through the New Testament and Psalms twice a year, and through the rest of the Bible once each year. There are approximately four chapters per day in this plan.
THE TRANSFORMED LIFE MODEL
This Biblically based program is the result of decades of experience helping people move forward through life in a positive and Christ honoring way. The Transformed Life Model is administered by the Counselor and includes an intake booklet, a Wheel Assessment of the Eight Dimensions of the Transformed Life, and the D.A.R.E.D. Goals.
